Summer Break-Family Time

Hello Friends! This summer was crazy and fun! I decided to take a 4 day vacation from work and go to San Diego with my family. We had fun because we all attended San Diego Comic Con and it was crazy packed. Don't know whats San Diego Comic Con? SDCC is a multi-genre entertainment and comic convention held annually in San Diego, California, United States. Every year people get together to cos play, and see exclusive comics and shows. Theres panel discussion with famous actors, animators, artist, and much more. Want to know more info you can check out SDCC website.

One of the reasons I love attending SDCC is because I get to see the fashion dolls I work on being displayed at the Hasbro booth. I work for Hasbro as a product designer/fabric graphic designer. I get to create the artwork on the fabric, so the repeat patterns, the jackets detail illustrations, pants, tops and so on. This year I got to see on display Mal and Uma from Descendants and its for their Under the Sea: A Descendants Story! Which comes out on Disney Channel on September which will come out before the movie Descendants 3 in September too. This project was so much fun to create and I just love how it looks! Also, I got to create cute fabric art for the Equestrian Girls. One thing that I love about my job is that I get to work on different brands. One moments I'm working on grunge texture illustrations and then to cute, colorful graphics. I love that I get to show my daughter all my hard work and another thing I love seeing how people react to the fashion dolls.

Another fun thing that happen this summer I got to bring my daughter to Hasbro's bring your kids to work. My daughter was so excited to see what we had plans for them. We had games, and we took lots of pictures too. We set up these cute big toy box where they can stand in and take pictures.

My daughter got to sit down with me and see what I do and enjoy herself. Working for a toy company is a lot of work but fun too. I love seeing at the end children and adults enjoying our toys! So next time you go to the store and see a Descendants 2 dolls, Equestrian Girls, Moana, Elena of Avalor, and Tangle from Hasbro now you know who did the fabric art!hehe!!

Last thing I finished one of my embroidery for a friend! She asked me to create this for her daughter and I love how it came out! Right now, I'm working on this 23" hoop for this art work that I will taking part of called Art in Numbers: art show that sales help out Inner City Arts The art show will be October 13 (4:30-9pm) want more info check Instagram: @artinnumbersI'm so excited to finish this big hoop and share with all! Hope to see you!

I'm so happy that this summer was fun and I hope next year we go to Disney World! I know that I want to outside of Los Angeles and explore with my family!

Let me know where did you go for this summer? Leave a comment below!

Thank you!

Hugs,

Claudia R.
